FUGGLE BUNNY BREW HOUSE LIMITED – Takes top industry award
Glasses are being raised today at FUGGLE BUNNY BREW HOUSE LIMITED in Sheffield, following the brewery’s triumph in the Design Awards 2015, run by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), to which the brewer belongs.
FUGGLE BUNNY BREW HOUSE LIMITED was named as winner of the BEST TOTAL DESIGN CONCEPT Award, for its Fresh, Fun and Contemporary Brand focusing on today’s Trendy Beer Market at SIBA’s BeerX event, held in Sheffield.
Wendy and David said: “We pride ourselves on our TOTAL DESIGN CONCEPT, so it is wonderful to receive this recognition from our peers and industry experts.
“We learnt quickly that to build a successful brewery, brewing great beers, though of course crucial, wasn’t enough: they had to be presented in a way that created real impact, in this ever popular expanding industry. Therefore we knew our beers were of exceptional quality but we needed to make our brand stand out from the crowd and yet still retain the tradition of real ale. We believe we have created that brand and we are very proud of our TOTAL DESIGN CONCEPT and our ethos.
Presenting the Awards, SIBA managing director Mike Benner said, “The SIBA Business Awards have been running for 10 years. In that time, the independent brewing sector has expanded hugely and competition increased for a place on the bar or facing in the supermarket.
“Our Business Awards recognise a raft of business skills and it is a credit to the talent of our members that so many of them submitted strong, compelling entries this year. What SIBA brewers may lack in size, they more than make up for with entrepreneurial flair, professionalism and dedication to their business.”
FUGGLE BUNNY BREW HOUSE was founded in February 2014 by Husband & Wife David and Wendy Steeple. Today we are brewing to full capacity however in order to keep up with demand and increase production we are awaiting the arrival of our new FV. We currently sell to free houses, local pubs, wholesalers, JDW, Stonegate Pub Co., SIBA DDS and to the public on Fridays, which has been aptly named by the locals as the Fuggletastic Friday Club. We currently have 7 Chapters of Quintessential – Quaffable – Quality Ales to choose from which are all best sellers, however the top 2 we sell the most of are the Chapter 2 – Cotton Tail 4% Pale Ale, and the Gold Award Winner Chapter 7 – Russian Rare-Bit 5% Imperial Black Stout. You can buy our beers from the above outlets or Hop into our brewery on Fridays between the hours of 9.00am until 7.00 pm where you can purchase our beer in either 4pt or 8pt PET take out Jugs or our new Stainless Steel Flasks. The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) was founded in 1980 to represent the UK’s smaller, independent breweries. Today it has 800 brewer members, on whose behalf it lobbies at Westminster and in Europe. SIBA successfully campaigned for the historic reductions in beer duty in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Budgets.
BeerX is an annual celebration of British beer, organised by SIBA. This year, it takes place at iceSheffield from 18-21 March. The event includes: speeches from some of the beer industry’s leading figures; seminars on a variety of beer-related topics, delivered by experts in their field and the announcement of the National Beer Competition and SIBA Business Awards winners. On 20-21 March, SIBA stages the BeerX Festival of Beer, the biggest beer festival to offer drinkers a choice of cask, keg and bottled beers from across the country..
